BSP International Diesel Piling Hammer
BSP Diesel Pile Hammers are designed for reliable and economic operation and maintenance. They operate on the impact atomisation principle and require no auxiliary source of power. They may be mounted in any form of leader or, when fitted with leg grips, suspended from a crane.

The operation of BSP Diesel Pile Hammer is simple. The hammer is designed to be handled by a single lifting rope which is attached to the trip assembly. It is started by lifting the ram-piston with the rope until the trip mechanism automatically released the ram-piston. In falling under gravity the ram-piston actuates the cam of the fuel pump to deliver a measured amount of liquid fuel into the cup formed in the top of the anvil. Continuing its downward fall under gravity, the ram-piston closes exhaust ports and progressively compresses the air trapped between the ram-piston and the anvil. The compression of the trapped air creates a preloading force to the anvil, driving cap and pile prior to the impact of the ram-piston on the anvil to deliver its kinetic energy to the pile.
