Bailey International’s electronics division, formerly known as Sure Grip Controls, a provider of custom control solutions, announced the groundbreaking of its new facility in Victoria, B.C., Canada.
Once completed, the facility will integrate the division’s operations under one roof, paving the way for enhanced efficiency and innovation in serving the heavy equipment industry. The new facility is scheduled for completion by December 2026.
“This groundbreaking marks an exciting chapter for Bailey,” said Darren Lockyer, Vice President of Bailey’s electronics division. “By uniting our teams under one roof, we will be better positioned to develop the customized control solutions our customers rely on.” Bailey Electronics specializes in designing and manufacturing custom controls for heavy equipment manufacturers in industries such as agriculture, construction, forestry, and transportation.
Ken Baker, CEO of Bailey International, emphasized the significance of this milestone. “Breaking ground on this facility reflects our long-term commitment to technological excellence in the Victoria, B.C. area,” Baker said. “This facility will enable greater operational collaboration, production capacity growth, and further strengthen our partnerships with the manufacturers we’re proud to serve.”
The new facility will be designed to support future growth, while optimizing current production capabilities, engineering, and workflow efficiencies.
Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, Bailey is a manufacturer of hydraulic components and electronic control system components.
Bailey develops and produces hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic power units, hydraulic valves, joysticks and other electronic controls under the Chief, Maxim, Hydro Custom and Sure Grip Controls brands, and distributes many other products.
