Appeared in Marine Construction Magazine Issue VI, 2024

Reading Time: < 1 Minutes

Boatyard, marina and jobsite managers need to take special precautions with their exposed electrical receptacles. No safety measure is as straightforward as adding Hubbell Non-Metallic While-In-Use Weatherproof Covers. Fast and easy to install, they protect outlets and plugs from harsh weather and tampering.

Hubbell Weatherproof Covers are built from tinted, high-impact polycarbonate for durability. With their patented keyhole mounting system, attached gasket and included hardware, they install in under a minute. A lockable tab prevents unauthorized use and power theft. While preconfigured for GFCI, patented knockout technology provides accommodation for alternate devices, with over 70 possible combinations.

Hubbell 5700 Series covers are offered in 1-gang for vertical or horizontal mounting and 2-gang for vertical-only installation. For added plug space, single-gang models are available in a larger Jumbo size.

All are NEMA 3R-rated, NEC-compliant and cULus-listed. In addition to the safety standards of the 5700 Series, EXTRA DUTY 5800 Series covers additionally meet or exceed the stringent criteria of UL 514D. Prices for Hubbell Non-Metallic While-In-Use Weatherproof Covers start at $29.96.
