The Italian company Leonardo S.r.l. is offering a multiservice power pedestal with modular electric box, monitor and air conditioning system that it says will turn what’s usually considered a cost item for marinas into an income opportunity.
According to the company, the Leonardo pedestal is a sustainable product made of 316L stainless steel with super-mirror treatment—similar to the finish of yacht accessories—and wood-plastic composite (WPC) slats for chromatic continuity with pontoons or docks. The materials are durable, safe and 100-percent recyclable.
The modular system of the electric box will allow a marina operator to quickly change the number and type of sockets (two or four) and from 16A to 250A or Type 2 sockets for charging station 7.4/11/22Kw, without having to change the entire service pedestal. The shell of the pedestal can be reclined to replace or reposition the electrical box and its outlets.
The monitor, with an IP65 vandalism-secure touch screen, allows the display of information through its proprietary “Sea Wolf” software app. The interactive and programmable monitor also makes a group of Leonardo pedestals a rental option for boat shows, since the monitor can showcase videos and documents related to the displayed boats, enhancing presentation and engagement.

Fully Customizable
Each Leonardo pedestal is a tailor-made product, designed and manufactured according to customer requirements.
Sustainable boating requires innovative clean energy technologies for marinas, which are expected to play a significant role in the energy transition. The goal is to develop zero-emission ports through strategic investments. Leonardo aims to facilitate a smooth transition to electric boating, addressing the challenges faced by ports and boaters alike by integrating electric charging solutions without disrupting social and operational practices.
